The RF 85mm f2 lens has proven to be a worthy companion to the R5 body, combining very high sharpness across the frame with a stabiliser and half macro close-up capability. It is very handy for the wildflowers which I like to photograph, being usable either hand held or on tripod. It is also suitable for some landscapes.
The R5 delivers its usual excellent level of image quality in all circumstances.
Most of the wildflowers are delicate, intricate and move about a lot in the slightest breeze. Sometimes the best way to catch them is to use AF servo and continuous drive. This is a bit counterintuitive for what are generally regarded as static subjects but in the real world they infrequently oblige by holding still.
