The focal length range is a versatile moderate-wide to medium-telephoto.
It allows me to switch in a moment from landscape to flying birds to close-ups.
On the M50 it will follow focus on moving subjects at 6 fps with a high percentage of sharp frames.
On the M50 it makes a very compact, light kit which is so easy to carry I hardly notice it is there.
And the image quality when used thoughtfully is really good.
