Kookaburra Nikon Z50 with Z DX 50-250mm

This is a way to photograph birds without leaving the house.

You can see the perch in the photo.

The birds got accustomed to this quickly and now prefer to perch there when they come to our house.

Birds which come often include lorikeets, cockatoos, little and long bill corellas, grey butcher birds, kookaburras, magpies, noisy miners and currawongs. Others show up intermittently.

The birds have become accustomed to being close to humans. Initially the cockatoos were a bit spooked by the camera but now they accept it.

For equipment, any short tele lens on an ILC will do or one of the better bridge cameras.
